December

In December, I celebrate my stoma’s anniversary, my “second birthday”, marking six years as an ostomate. As the final month of the year invites reflection, I am grateful for the many wonderful experiences that shaped my 2025.

My highlights include a rowing lesson in Venice, returning to windsurfing, water skiing and wakeboarding since becoming an ostomate, hiking in The High Bernese Oberland, completing my first scramble on Crib Goch and racing my first 800m freestyle in a short course swimming competition.

Even as I celebrate these wins, the year has been marked by medical challenges, including more surgeries and difficult recovery periods. As 2025 draws to a close, I’m reclaiming my fitness and setting my sights on new goals and adventures.

Thank you to all my wonderful clients for your support during a challenging year. I’m really looking forward to resuming teaching in January.
Wishing you all a happy and healthy 2026
