5 months to go!
In June 2026, I’ll be setting out to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, a charity challenge I was meant to take on in October 2025 with Gill Castle’s Chameleon Buddies ‘Climb Kili’ team.

Sadly, I had to withdraw from this trek as I needed major surgery related to having a stoma. This was an incredibly difficult decision and a huge disappointment, not being able to fulfil what I had set out to achieve.

Post-surgery the desire to fulfil my ambition of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro remains and now I am embarking on this journey once more but this time my husband will be joining me on this challenge.

Like a chameleon adapting to its environment, I’m adapting too following proctectomy surgery, I’m rebuilding my strength and fitness step by step. There’s nothing quite like a bold goal to focus the body and mind!

I’m fundraising for Chameleon Buddies, an incredible charity supporting women in Kenya living with birth injuries and stomas and their aim to build a dedicated stoma clinic facility and continence wing at the Gynocare and Women’s Fistula Hospital in Eldoret, Kenya.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported me and kindly donated to my fundraiser so far. Your encouragement and contributions mean the world to me and truly make a difference.

If you’d like to support this amazing cause please visit my JustGiving page. All donations go directly to Chameleon Buddies.
