Griesalp to Kandersteg

Hiking the High Bernese Oberland Switzerland

The highlight of July was a stunning week’s hiking sections of the High Bernese Oberland starting in Wengen and finishing in Kandersteg. The hike from Griesalp to Kandersteg challenged the legs and lungs ascending from 1500m to 2,778m at Hohtüril pass. After a very wet start to the week, conditions at the pass were snowy and slippery making both the last section of up and down tricky.

The scenery was incredible and equally beautiful in the valleys ascending and descending. A truly memorable week exploring breathtaking landscapes.
